Gina M. Barry, Esq.
Bacon Wilson, P.C.

One of the most common issues addressed by planners today is how to protect assets from catastrophic nursing home costs. Many believe that all of their options were eliminated on February 8, 2006 with the enactment of the Deficit Reduction Act. This presentation will explore the wide variety of remaining options for those who are planning for nursing home care, whether in advance or on the nursing home steps. Many misconceptions exist in this area of planning, and these misconceptions can even confuse seasoned professionals when faced with them. Areas of confusion will be delved into more deeply to provide you with a complete understanding of these misconceptions and the ability to clarify these concepts for your clients so that they can make properly informed decisions about their planning.
